Inglot HD foundation review

Hey guys!

Over the past few months all I have been hearing about is Inglot's HD perfect cover up foundation, so I decided to go out and try it for myself. I purchased my foundation at the Inglot store in Blancherdstown. When I arrived a lady called Amy sat me down and helped me pick a colour suitable for my skin tone. Although we were waiting a while to get served, they were quite busy and I knew what I wanted so I didn't mind. When we were being looked after the staff were really friendly and helpful and actually listened to what I wanted instead of selling me what they wanted to sell.  As I don't wear fake tan we decided to go with a natural colour in the shade 71. Not the fanciest name i've heard for a product but its not the worst i've heard, so I guess it'll do.

The first thing I noticed was the packaging. The clear container with black rims is so clean cut and simple and very in touch with macs style of packaging for their studio fix foundation.

When applying it, it feels so different then any other foundation i've used before. The texture is so lightweight and velvety yet it is extremely high coverage and build-able what more could you ask for?. It blends in seamlessly and smells slightly fruity, which is always a bonus because who wants to smear stinky flesh toned liquid on their faces, if it smells good, at least you're smearing nice smelling flesh toned liquid on your face right? It might not be a major selling point but it does make applying makeup an even better process or if your not in the mood to wear makeup, it makes it a tolerable process.

The real question is how does it wear?. I decided to wear the foundation for a full day with no top ups as I got on with my day to day life including working in a cafe that felt like
500 degrees, getting caught in the wonderful Irish summer weather and even taking a quick nap/ Netflix session  (I lead a very interesting and fulfilled life I swear). After first applying it I wasn't expecting it to last very long before it started to look like I rubbed my face in cake batter but I was pleasantly surprised with the staying power of this product. After wearing it for a full day with no top ups it still looks as good as it did when I first applied it. As expected it had wore off slightly but not to a major extent and with a bit of powder it would look perfect again so to say i'm satisfied with Inglots magic creation is a bit of an understatement.

What makes this product all the more sweeter is the fact that its only 33 euro for a 35 ml bottle and for a foundation that does everything thing it claims it does and more that's an absolute bargain. Inglot's HD foundation is my first Inglot purchase and I will most defiantly be re-purchasing it when it's all gone, it might give me an excuse to go back and accidentally buy some of their amazing eye shadows that I keep hearing about!

See you soon! x

5 Life Hacks You Need

Hey Guys! I like to discover new tricks that helps make life a little easier. As a student, with barely a penny in my bank account, I have had to be creative. Here's a few little tricks that might work for you to help make life a little easier for absolutely free. I can't guarantee these tricks will work for everyone, but all I know is that they work for some people so I guess there's no harm in trying it.  1. Headaches, we all get them from time to time and there is nothing more irritating then a thumping head, so a tip to get rid of that persisting pain, is to place your feet and hands in luke warm water, placing your head on your knees and putting a bag of frozen peas on the back of your neck. You might look like an absolute fool but if you're desperate enough to get rid of your pounding head you'll do it.  2. Period pain, some girls are very very lucky and have very little to no pain during their periods, unfortunately that is most defiantly not ...

A Long Way Down By Nick Hornby

Hi guys, If you know me, you know that I'm not necessarily a big reader. A few weeks ago I called into the local charity shop to waste some time until my mam finished work, because yes, I am far to lazy to walk if I can get a lift. Anyway, I found this book. It's called a long way down by Nick Hornby. Out of all of my little finds, this is by far my favourite. I'm not going to tell you the whole story because I really think that reading this book yourself is so important. The main plot is about four people all very different, from different backgrounds and different lives. They all met on New Year's Eve on a roof top in the centre of London. All 4 were going to committee suicide on that night. (It sounds grim but bare with me). The whole point of the story is that they didn't. It shows how they bonded and worked together for the months to follow to support each other and to try and solve the messes in their heads. I understand that this book isn'...
