Dewy Skin

Hey Guys!

Obviously I have a crazy amount of college work to do and i'm doing anything I cant to put it off until last minute as usual... oops... If any of you have any tips on how to stop procrastinating please do let me know. Moving swiftly on, today i'm going to show you my dewy skin/ everyday skin routine. When I say 'everyday' be aware that me wearing makeup everyday would literally be a miracle. On days where I do decide to do makeup this is usually what I do. I'm going to throw in some pictures just to leave it easier for you to see the products.

To start off I always prime my skin as a good base to try and help my makeup last as long as possible. The primer I use is Rimmel fix and perfect. I just use my hands to apply it evenly across my face. (very hygienic..). I try to leave the primer as long as I can to set into my skin.

For my foundation, it can change from time to time. Recently i've been swaying more towards a more dewy finish. I use Glow Time by Jane Iredale. It's more pricey but the finish is gorgeous. It has got a really high coverage but if you use a tiny amount and blend it really well it you can definitely lighten it up for everyday wear. For applying the foundation I used a really dense blending brush. I'm not to sure what brand the brush is cause the names worn off but here's a picture of it anyway so you know the type of brush i'm trying to explain.

I don't fully contour my face for a daytime makeup but I do add bronzer to try to give my face shape a bit of definition. I've been using bourjois chocolate bronzer.. that's not the actual name, but it looks like chocolate so its close enough.. I place this under my cheekbones, at my temples and around my jawline.

After my bronzer I use a Jane Iredale blush in 'cotton candy'. It's a shimmery pastel pink shade and it adds a lovely colour to the face without being to over the top. It is so pigmented so a little goes a long way. I apply it on the apples of my cheeks and blend it back towards my hairline. I use a blush brush from so sue mes collection with crown brushes.

To add an extra glow to the skin I use a liquid highlighter from MeMeMe. Its called beat the blues in the shade oyster gold. I place this on the tops of my cheek bones, the centre of my forehead, nose, cupids bow and a tiny bit on my chin. I blend this in with real techniques setting brush.

Underneath my eyes to try and brighten them up I use Rimmel wake me up concealer in ivory. I just apply this in an upside down triangle shape under my eyes and blend it in with a real techniques sponge or a real technique concealer brush, depending on what mood i'm in.
To finish the look off I apply a pressed power by Kiko in the shade 101. I apply more powder under my eyes to help set the concealer, then I use whatever's left on the brush for the rest of my face. If my skin is particularly oily that day I will apply more powder.

I know this actually sounds like an awful lot of products to some but once you're used to putting them all on it doesn't seem too much. Maybe it explains why i'm never bothered wearing makeup everyday. Overall, these products work really well together to give a gorgeous dewy finish to the skin. If you have any questions or anything be sure to let me know. If you try out any of these products, let me know how you get on, I love hearing feedback!

P.S. I've thrown in a before and after picture so you can see the difference between my extremely ill looking face and my presentable face.

Inglot HD foundation review

Hey guys! Over the past few months all I have been hearing about is Inglot's HD perfect cover up foundation, so I decided to go out and try it for myself. I purchased my foundation at the Inglot store in Blancherdstown. When I arrived a lady called Amy sat me down and helped me pick a colour suitable for my skin tone. Although we were waiting a while to get served, they were quite busy and I knew what I wanted so I didn't mind. When we were being looked after the staff were really friendly and helpful and actually listened to what I wanted instead of selling me what they wanted to sell.  As I don't wear fake tan we decided to go with a natural colour in the shade 71. Not the fanciest name i've heard for a product but its not the worst i've heard, so I guess it'll do.  The first thing I noticed was the packaging. The clear container with black rims is so clean cut and simple and very in touch with macs style of packaging for their studio fix foundation

Blushed Nudes

Hey Guys! It's 2016!! and I am sooo late with this blog, sorry for not posting in a while, i've been really busy... ( not really, i'm just very lazy... sorry..). Anyway, getting on with the actual post. Recently i've been seeing a lot of people take on the risky business of using pink toned eyeshadows. I know it sounds dodgy but if it's done right, it actually looks really nice and contrary to what you might think, you won't look like coco the clown. When I was out doing a bit of shopping (as usual). I came across a palette called 'The Blushed Nudes' by Maybelline. It has 12 different shades 11 of which are light shimmers and 1 matt colour. This is a great day-to-night palette, so you can take it anywhere. The palette also came with a spongy applicator thingy but it isn't pictured below because the minute I opened it... I lost it... its not a major lose ill get over it... I purchased the palette in boots for around about 15 euro. For

Top 5 YouTube musicians

Hey guys! Seeing as summers nearly over the majority of people will have one song that will forever remind them of summer and the adventures they had that particular year. This led me to scour the corners of YouTube listening to some amazing musicians that post their talents hoping people will appreciate the music they're trying to make. I found some really amazing voices and I really think they need to be heard so here's a list of my top 5 YouTube artist. Bare in mind this is in no particular order and it is also just my opinion. 1. Arabella Her real name is Phoebe Woodall and as her channel name suggests she does a lot of arctic monkey covers. Surprisingly she only has 14 videos uploaded so far but each of those videos never fail to impress me with thanks to her beautiful voice. It doesn't take a genius to realise shes incredibly shy but once she starts singing you can see her insecurities fall away as she gets lost in the music. It really is a lovely sight to
